Job Description

A Health & Safety Officer is needed for a role based in Dubai.
We are a leading company committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety for our employees, clients, and stakeholders. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai.

Job Summary:

The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of health and safety practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
– Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
– Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and industry standards.
– Investigate and report on workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement preventive measures.
– Provide training and education to employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of safety equipment.
– Collaborate with management and other departments to promote a culture of safety and ensure continuous improvement.
– Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including inspections, audits, and incident reports.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to enhance the company’s health and safety programs.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
– Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
– Minimum of 9 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the [Insert Industry] sector.
– Strong knowledge of local health and safety regulations and industry standards.
– Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
